Hello! My name is
Micky Burns-Johnson, a member of the School Counseling Team at Fond du Lac High
School.
I began my career in the Fond du Lac School District as the Career
Specialist at Goodrich High School.
The following year (1997-98) I was hired as a Counselor at Goodrich, and
am now in my 13th year working with students whose last names begin A-D.
As
a lifelong resident of Fond du Lac, I am very interested in its history and
people. In addition to my role as
a school counselor, I coach freshman volleyball, and am a member of various
committees working to keep FHS the number-one high school in the state!
Married to Jeff Johnson for 6 years and formerly married to the
late Terry Burns (thus, the Burns-Johnson name),
I have two children - Colin, a Freshman at UW Milwaukee, and
Shannon, a Sophomore at FHS. I
also have two step-children: Curt,
who attends UW-FdL and Grant, a Sophomore at FHS.
Our
family is made complete with two awesome dogs:
a St. Bernard named Gilbert and a Shih-Tzu named Murphy. In my
free time I enjoy having company, collecting antiques, riding my bike,
roller-blading, and watching FHS sporting events.
Here's
to a great 2009-10 school year!
